Touch difficult using the "liquid" soap!!

Liquid soap at normal temperature... ... and opaque when below zero!

Sandhill Crane Female Sandhill Crane Male

Terrapin Rum???

Of course had to mention the "slight" issue of trying to buy rum. Having said that, Tequila and coke worked just fine!!

1st/2nd November - Oasis SP

Another State Park we had been to before. Highlight was a new bird for Julie: Northern Bobwhite.

Harvey Too Northern Bobwhite
Black-crowned Night Heron Osprey
House Finch Dark-eyed Junco

3rd Nov - Trailer Village RV Park, Roswell

One of our rare moments in a private site. Always good for getting the laundry done and access to wifi. Also walked into town and had dinner there.

Aliens!!!! Deceased alien

4th Nov - Oliver Lee SP

South enough now to get some sunshine and warmth. This place is very close to the White Sands testing area. Again though despite there being lots of vacant sites we are not allowed into them as we had no reservation. The campground host however allowed us to stay in an empty host site. And of course snake charmer Julie managed to find a Rattler!!!

Sunshine at last Black-throated Sparrow
Rock Wren Cactus Wren
Pyrrhuloxia Squirrel
Rattlesnake Probing

5th/6th Nov - Rock Hound SP

As the name suggests lots of rock hounders here. Nice remote site though.

Black-throated Sparrow Curve-billed Thrasher

7th/8th Nov - Roper Lake SP

And back into Arizona. Always used to come here as there is a hot spring and tub. Unfortunately the tub has been permanently closed due to problems.

Red-winged Blackbirds and Grackles Same
Pied-billed Grebe Bewick's Wren

9th/10th Nov - Windy Hill CG, Roosevelt Lake

Back again - not quite into our favourite site but very close. We did move site, however, to get away from generator noise.

Harvey Too Beautiful View
Loggerhead Shrike Red-tailed Hawk

11th Nov - Lost Dutchman SP

Again, into site 1 - our favourite. Last stop before heading back to Always.

12th Nov - Always

Back at Always and the deal is struck. We have sold Harvey Too.
