26th/27th/28th September - PH3 Away Weekend

This was held at The Droushia Heights Hotel. Everyone dressed up for the dinner on the Friday evening. Saturday morning saw us doing a 10km run for the longs and 5km for the shorts. Unfortunately the runners missed the drinks stop as they were too early there (actually the drinks arrived late!). Witches and wizards theme for the fancy dress in the evening. Some games played and then karoake.

Sunday was a short recovery walk which we didn't stay for but went to water the garden at the cottage instead.

10th/11th/12 October - Agios Fotios camping weekend

Another successful weekend although the attendance was only 15, including 4 newcomers (virgins). Ron fed everyone on the Friday evening with a bean and sausage casserole.

On the Saturday, 2 of us ran and 7 walked the longs which was about 8.5kms. And Ron took the others on a nice walk around the old village. Afterwards, Jenny did a good job as RA at the circle. Then some of us went to Tsangarides winery for a cheese and meat platter and wine tasting. Back to the cottage for a rest, then BBQ time and Ron's in(famous) whisky club.

Sunday saw the intrepid few do Julie's recovery walk which was quite up and down but only about 3.5km but took and hour and a quarter.

21st October - 75th Birthday dinner

This was supposed to be for the 5 birthday boys (who celebrated their 70th 5 years ago) but unfortunatetly Stuart and Elaine couldn't make it due to Elaine having a back problem. So the others, Frank (and Jenny), Allan (and Linda), Rob (and Diane) and Ron (and Julie) had a lovely meal at Blueberries in Agia Napa. We stayed over at Frank and Jenny's.

Up to the Muthu Clumba Park Hotel near Worksop on the Friday and a nice dinner in the hotel with Lisa and Charlotte. To the wedding venue at The Pumping House, New Ollerton on the Saturday. 12.00 o'clock ceremony followed by drinks, photos and the meal.

7th/8th/9th November - Akamas Hash Weekend - Neo Chorio

Arrived at the hotel on the Friday in good time, checked in and took a wander around the village. Just as we were about to leave for the meal at Smiyies Tavern, a big thunderstorm struck with torrential rain so we ended up driving to the restaurant. The mini meze was very extensive and delicious.

The start of the hash on the Saturday was the same as the previous years at Smiyies picnic site. With the rain the previous evening, the trail was virtually all wiped out so the hares had to do some live haring. The run turned out quite short so we added a bit extra on at the end. Good circle afterwards with a few beers. Back to the hotel for a meal.

The recovery run on the Sunday was from Aphrodite Baths down on the Akamas peninsular. Again, a lot of the trail had been wiped out but a nice run/walk with good views. Short circle afterwards. We then drove back via our cottage to water the garden.

31st December - New Year's Eve - Lofou

Julie did a good DH3 hash in the morning then drive up to Lofou. Upsetting drive due to the vast fire damage all the way up to the village. Found Cleo's Inn and keys, for us and Fran and Paul above. They arrived and came round for a drink then later, before dinner, some fizz. Walked up to the Apokrypo Hotel for dinner and met up with Frank and Jenny for dinner. Very extensive meze, lots of delicious food. We then sat around the fire until midnight, with more wine and fizz.
